- Undertook research on the impacts and consequences of Covid-19 on charities and voluntary groups to inform policy responses – these were subsequently also used to inform the design of new support programmes and interventions for the social economy
- Unparalleled research into training issues, needs and cultures of co-operative and social enterprises, with the findings benchmarked against charities and private sector (see report – ‘training issues for…’). Findings from this study were used to successfully secure resources for sector-specific training and support programmes
- Collated and comparatively analysed findings of individual in-country research into vocational training within social enterprises across Europe for the Irene.T programme – the findings of which have been used to inform the focus of this European initiative
- Guest speaker on the relationship between the co-operative and social enterprise movements at a national conference for the UK Society of Co-operative Studies
- Undertook national research into the co-operative childcare sector to inform the development of a national support and development programme to this type of co-operative enterprise
- Supported research programme commissioned by Social FirmsUK for appropriate and successful legal and governance models for social firms
- Consulted by Bank of England on finance issues for social enterprise
- Created a new framework to research future community needs for enterprise support in respect of proposing further workspace developments in local communities for a local enterprise agency and with support of a Big Lottery Fund programme (see report – ‘mosques on stilts…’)
